Betrayal at House on the Hill

This is my favorite game to play on Halloween. Players explore a haunted mansion room by room, uncovering unsettling events, discover mysterious items, and face eerie occurrences that evoke a sense of impending dread. The game’s theme is deeply immersive, drawing players into a world of unpredictable horrors.

2.

Arkham Horror: The Card Game

This is my one of my absolute favorite board games. Players take on the roles of investigators, each with their unique strengths, weaknesses, and backstory. As players delve into a world rife with eldritch horrors and unsolved mysteries. The game blends rich storytelling, strategy, and deck-building elements to create an evolving narrative.

3.

Horrified

This game has been on me “want to play” list for quite sometime now. Horrified is a thrilling and cooperative board game that plunges players into classic monster movies. In this game, players work together to fend off a variety of iconic monsters, such as Dracula, the Wolfman, the Mummy, and more, who have terrorized a small village.

4.

Stranger Things: Upside Down

A must for any Stranger Things fan. The game takes place during the first two iconic seasons of the Netflix series, depending on which side of the board you play on. It has some similarities to Horrified but with less classical monsters and more demogorgon.

5.

Boooop.

If spooky isn’t your cup of tea, and you lean more toward a cute and whimsical Halloween experience, then the re-themed “Boop” board game is the perfect choice for you. This version turns “Boop.” even more adorable than before, featuring playful Halloween kitties and ghosts.
