Types of Markers
Dry Erase
Dry Erase markers are markers that can be erased without the need for a damp clothe or wipe. You can simply use a dry towel or napkin to clean away the marker. The great thing is it is usually very easy to clean the game sheet off. It is also easy to erase any mistakes or to start a new round. However, the downside is that it is very easy to wipe away with your bare hands.
Benefits
- Easy to Clean
- Easy to Correct Mistakes Mid-Game
Cons
- Smudges Easily

Wet Erase
Wet Erase again is fairly self-explanatory. It requires something damp to clean. The problem is it’s slightly harder to clean. Cleaning gets the game sheet wet. This means it’ll have to be dried before starting another round. This also makes correcting small errors harder during gameplay. However, the big benefit is it’s harder to smudge with your hand.
Benefits
- Doesn’t Smudge
Cons
- Harder to Correct Mistakes
- Needs Moment to Dry

Correctable Markers
Correctable Markers are something in-between the two. They have the ease of dry erasing but also don’t smudge with the hand after a few seconds. This means that games can be played care-free of accidents happening. Also with the Staedtler Correctable Markers there is an eraser on top that works really well for correcting small mistakes or taking back a bad decision.

Only Compliant
For the most part the markers have worked really well. There is times while playing that we have encountered when the marker just doesn’t want to write. This is due to the surface getting wet from playing games back-to-back. Simply dry off the game sheet between each play should help.
